The Organizing Committee has the great pleasure to inform you that The International Conference „A TRIBUTE TO STAN HAŁAS AND 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE LABORATORY OF ISOTOPE GEOLOGY AND GEOECOLOGY” will be held on May 9 - 11, 2023 in Wrocław.

The Conference is organized by the Department of Isotopic and Applied Geology of the University of Wroclaw.

The Focus of the Conference includes the issues of synthesis and application of isotopes and isotopically labelled compounds in all research disciplines. The topics of the meeting will cover all major fields of application of stable isotopes in Earth science, including also reviews in isotope technique applications, new emerging trends in the field of the isotopes, and measuring techniques.

The Conference includes also a tribute to the memory of a remarkable scientist and expert in the field of isotopic research – Prof. Stanisław Hałas. In gratitude for his contributions in the development of the Laboratory of Isotopic Geology and Geoecology, during the conference, the Laboratory will be formally awarded in Stanisław Hałas name. It will be in conjunction with a ceremonial unveiling of the memorial plaque made of tantalum – one of Prof. Hałas the most appreciated construction material. We hope all the close relatives, coworkers, and friends of Stan Hałas will join this unique event and celebrate the outstanding achievements and biography of Stan Hałas.

We kindly encourage the submission of oral and poster participation in the related scientific areas of isotopic research. All presentations and full paper articles (followed by the reviewing procedure) will be published in the Abstract Book. The best contributions of young scientists and Ph.D. students will be selected by the organizing committee and a panel of scientific experts and awarded in the competition for the Best Presentation and Best Poster.
